LMOS VOID Beta 0.49.0: OS Core Stabilization

Genesis Feature Freeze continues with OS-only repairs: one hosted/native/remote runtime truth, one system-capability registry, safer remote package isolation, and broader production smoke coverage.

Beta test updateThis article documents what is working now, what it can do for users, and the workflow we want real testers to pressure-test.

What changed

  • Unified hosted web, remote workstation, native Linux and native OEM/mobile host identity.

  • Added one canonical system-capability registry for browser/native/remote support truth.

  • Kept privileged machine powers behind signed/scoped capability adapters.

  • Corrected hosted app-update refresh logic for already-open older sessions.

  • Added a dedicated remote-workstation app-isolation contract.

  • Expanded production smoke coverage to the apex and www custom domains plus LMOS readiness protection.

  • Kept Genesis 0.49.0 in feature freeze: repairs and certification only, not feature sprawl.

Release posture

The OS core is materially cleaner, but LMOS is still Beta. Fresh authenticated rendered device evidence, real native Linux install/update/recovery evidence, remote-host enforcement evidence and a current LMOS-only quality scorecard remain open before Genesis 1.0 can be claimed.
