QUICK ANSWERS

LM Mediator FAQ

Is LM Mediator counseling or therapy?

No. It is a communication aid for basic mediation-style reflection and practical follow-through. It does not diagnose, treat, counsel, or replace a qualified professional.

Can LM Mediator join the conversation?

Yes, when Conversation Mode is on and someone directly addresses “Mediator…” or “LM Mediator…” with a question. The answer is intentionally brief, neutral, spoken aloud when safe, and appended to the transcript before listening resumes.

Does LM Mediator record the room?

The current workflow does not save an audio recording. Compatible device or browser speech recognition converts speech to editable text, which autosaves with the private LMOS project; relevant transcript text is sent to the AI service only for a direct mediator question or the requested mediation reflection.

What will LM Mediator cost?

The planned paid launch is one simple plan at $5 per month or $50 per year. The Founding Beta remains free while the live conversation loop is validated.

What happens if the conversation includes threats or abuse?

The mediator is designed to stop ordinary compromise framing, flag the safety concern, disable automatic read-back of the sensitive result, and prioritize appropriate human or emergency/crisis support.

How do I contact LM support?

Email laynemcdonald@gmail.com or use the support form on this page. Please never send passwords, payment-card numbers, recovery codes, or other secrets.

Where can I read the legal terms and privacy information?

Use the Terms and Privacy links in the LM footer. Those policies govern the service. This support page is a plain-language help resource and is not a substitute for the formal policies.

Who owns the work I create?

You keep ownership of your original work. LM receives only the permissions needed to provide the service you choose, subject to the Terms and any third-party licenses attached to material you use.

Does LM take royalties from everything I make?

No. LM does not take a royalty from off-platform revenue it did not collect. When native LM creator payouts are active, LM's own platform share is capped at 5% of distributable revenue collected through LM and the creator share is 95%, subject to the formal Terms and clearly disclosed third-party pass-through amounts such as taxes, refunds or payment processing.

Can LM AI reuse another creator's private work in mine?

LM product policy isolates private creator projects by account/workspace and does not intentionally use another creator's private project or generated asset as your prompt context, seed, retrieval source or training material without an explicit authorized sharing path. Generative systems can still produce coincidental similarities, so LM should use provenance and similarity safeguards where technically practical rather than promise impossible zero-resemblance guarantees.

Does LM sell my private project content?

LM does not position private project content as public material. Projects are private by default unless you intentionally choose a sharing or publishing action.

What should I include in a bug report?

Tell us the app, device, browser or operating system, what you were doing, what you expected, what happened instead, and whether it happens every time. Screenshots are helpful when they do not expose private information.

Can I request deletion or privacy help?

Yes. Use the Privacy Policy and Account & Data Deletion pages on the LM site, or submit a support request and choose Privacy. Identity verification may be required before account or data actions are completed.

What if I bought the app or subscription through Apple or Google?

Apple App Store and Google Play purchases are processed under the store account and platform rules used for the purchase. LM support can help identify the product or access issue, while store-managed billing, cancellation, family sharing, and refund steps may remain with Apple or Google.

What should I try before reporting a technical problem?

Make sure the app or browser is current, confirm the device has an Internet connection when the feature requires one, reopen the affected screen, and retry once. If the problem remains, send the device type, operating system, app or browser version, and the exact step where it failed.

Does LM support accessibility needs?

LM products target readable controls, keyboard and touch access, responsive layouts, text scaling, and reduced-motion friendly behavior where applicable. If something is hard to read, reach, hear, or operate, submit it as an accessibility support issue so it can be tracked.
