LM / LMOS LEGAL

Terms of Use

These Terms govern use of LayneMcDonald.com, LMOS, LM Bible, Kingdom Builders, LM Games, LM creator applications, related mobile builds, websites, and services operated under the LM brand. Product-specific notices, app-store terms, licenses, and privacy disclosures may also apply.

Effective: October 1, 2026Last updated: October 1, 2026
Your work stays yours

You retain ownership of original content you create. You give LM only the permissions reasonably needed to operate the features you choose.

Use LM responsibly

Do not use LM products to harm people, violate law, invade privacy, infringe rights, defeat security controls, or distribute material you do not have the right to use.

Products change

Beta, preview, experimental, and in-development features may change, pause, or be removed. Public product pages should state release status truthfully.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using an LM service, you agree to these Terms and the applicable Privacy Policy. If you use a service for an organization, church, school, business, family account, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to act for that entity to the extent required for the actions you take.

If a specific LM product presents additional terms, safety rules, community rules, licenses, purchase terms, or beta notices, those additional terms apply to that product. If a third-party app store imposes mandatory terms that conflict with these Terms, the mandatory platform terms control only to the extent required.

2. Accounts and security

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your sign-in credentials, and using reasonable care with devices that remain signed in. Do not share passwords, authentication codes, private API keys, or other secrets through support forms or public project areas. Contact LM promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

3. Your license to use LM software

Subject to these Terms, payment or access requirements, and applicable product restrictions, LM grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the software and services for their intended purposes. You may not sell access to an LM account, bypass paid entitlements, reverse engineer protected service components except where law expressly permits it, defeat security or safety controls, or use LM branding to imply an endorsement or partnership that does not exist.

4. Your content and permissions

You retain ownership of original content you create. When you upload, save, process, publish, share, or distribute content through an LM feature, you grant LM the limited rights reasonably necessary to host, process, reproduce, transmit, display, transform, or deliver that content for the feature you requested. This permission ends when it is no longer reasonably needed to provide the service, subject to backups, legal obligations, transaction records, and other retention described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the rights, releases, permissions, and licenses required for material you upload or distribute. LM may provide rights fields, provenance tools, or warnings, but those tools do not create legal rights you do not already have.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use LM products to violate law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, impersonate others deceptively, distribute malware, probe or attack systems without authorization, evade access controls, harass or exploit people, facilitate abuse, publish unlawful sexual content involving minors, or use family products to create unauthorized adult-to-child contact. You also may not overload services through automated abuse, scrape private data, or misrepresent beta or generated output as verified fact when it is not.

6. Children, families, and family-first products

Some LM products are designed for families or children, including Kingdom Builders and LM Games. Those products may use stricter safety, communication, parental-control, identity, and content rules than general creator software. General LMOS professional creator accounts are not intended for independent use by children under 13 unless a product specifically provides an age-appropriate, parent- or guardian-managed experience consistent with applicable law.

No product feature should be interpreted as permission for an adult to bypass family safety boundaries, parental controls, school/church policies, or applicable child-protection law.

7. AI-assisted features

AI output can be incomplete, incorrect, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular use. You remain responsible for reviewing important output before relying on or publishing it. AI assistance does not replace qualified legal, medical, mental-health, financial, pastoral, emergency, or other professional judgment where such expertise is required. Product interfaces should identify material AI-assisted actions and keep consequential user actions under human control where practical.

8. Purchases, subscriptions, trials, refunds, and mission work

Prices, billing intervals, trials, included features, taxes, renewal terms, and cancellation options are shown at or before purchase. Purchases made through Apple or Google may be billed, renewed, canceled, or refunded under the applicable app-store rules. Web purchases may be processed by a separate payment provider.

LM may use sustainable business revenue to create capacity for mission work and assistance to vetted families, ministries, missions, or nonprofits. A software or service purchase is a purchase and is not automatically a tax-deductible charitable donation. Designated gifts, nonprofit relationships, and verified assistance are tracked and described separately where applicable.

9. Apple App Store and Google Play

If you obtain an LM app through Apple App Store or Google Play, your relationship with the store is also governed by that store's terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for LM's independent support obligations except where their platform terms expressly state otherwise. Purchases, subscriptions, family sharing, refunds, device eligibility, and distribution availability may differ by platform and region.

Support for LM products is available at laynemcdonald@gmail.com and through the app-specific pages under LM Support.

10. Third-party services and open-source software

LM products may interact with hosting providers, payment processors, app stores, media platforms, authentication providers, connected accounts, AI providers, open-source libraries, and other third-party technologies. Their own terms and licenses may apply to your use of those services. LM does not own or control independent third-party services and cannot guarantee their continued availability.

11. LM intellectual property

LM software, trademarks, logos, product names, original designs, documentation, audiovisual works, and other LM-created materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Open-source components remain governed by their own licenses. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of LM intellectual property to the user.

12. Service and beta disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LM services are provided on an “as available” basis. LM does not promise uninterrupted operation, universal device compatibility, perfect data preservation, error-free AI output, guaranteed revenue, guaranteed creative outcomes, or continued availability of every beta feature. Users should maintain appropriate backups of important work and independently verify high-stakes information.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LM and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the services, loss of data, loss of profits, service interruption, third-party services, or reliance on unverified output. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

14. Suspension, termination, and account deletion

LM may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security threats, legal obligations, nonpayment, serious violations of these Terms, or risks to other users. Users may stop using the service and may request account or data deletion through the Account & Data Deletion process, subject to lawful retention requirements.

15. Governing law and changes

Subject to mandatory consumer protections and other applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. LM may update these Terms as products, laws, distribution arrangements, or service practices change. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date and, when appropriate, an additional notice.

These Terms are intended as the operating terms for LM services and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel as the company, products, jurisdictions, and commercial relationships evolve.
