LMOS should not make you pay to duplicate files you already own.
Large video, audio and photo originals should stay on your device, external drive or connected Google Drive whenever practical. LMOS stores the project intelligence: lightweight manifests, links, edit decisions, notes, collaboration and the files you intentionally ask LMOS to host.Best for large source media and work that does not need an LM-hosted copy.
Google Drive and other user-controlled storage can hold heavy originals while LMOS remembers where the work belongs.
Beta Users begin with 100 MB for intentional hosted copies. Your account shows the allowance, bytes used and a hard-drive-style meter. No mystery storage bill.
