LM Coach Beta 0.9.1: Mentoring, Coaching, Training, and Better Human Matching
LM Coach now starts with the kind of development relationship, adds reusable program blueprints, richer whole-person profiles, faith and volunteer templates, better fit signals, and a clearer boundary between development and counseling/clinical care.
What changed
Added Start Here as the first leader tab with Mentoring, Coaching and Training modes.
Added reusable General Growth, Leadership Development, Creative Development, Christian Discipleship, Volunteer Development and New Christian program templates.
Added a paint-by-numbers development path: know the person, understand fit, match and agree, set goals, practice and review.
Expanded participant profiles with passions, talents, hobbies, service/team interests, learning style, development preference, community stage, pathway/class interests, training needs and optional faith/spiritual-growth self-reflection.
Matching suggestions now consider the additional self-reported development context along with existing strengths, growth areas, topics, communication, availability, history and same-sex eligibility.
The leader still makes the final match. Scores remain suggestions, not automatic relationship decisions.
Added faith-program guardrails for doctrine, same-gender mentoring, privacy and care escalation.
Added prominent development boundaries in leader and participant experiences so LM Coach does not present itself as therapy, diagnosis, medical care or crisis counseling.
Updated the App Store product story and How-To guide to explain Mentoring vs Coaching vs Training clearly.
New LM Coach projects now default to Mentoring + General Growth; existing projects keep safe fallbacks and are not destructively migrated.
Church and ministry reuse
The faith templates are reusable program blueprints inside the same LM Coach engine. A church can layer its own doctrine, new-Christian course, spiritual-gifts process, volunteer training, classes, leaders and care policies on top without creating a separate mentoring database or matching system.
What testers should try
Open an LM Coach leader project and start on Start Here. Switch among Mentoring, Coaching and Training.
Choose Christian Discipleship, Volunteer Development or New Christian and review the faith-program guardrails.
Complete a participant questionnaire with interests, talents, learning preferences and service/pathway context.
Create several ready mentors and mentees, then verify suggested fit reasons reference the richer self-reported context while same-sex eligibility remains enforced.
Confirm private questionnaire answers are still unavailable to other participants and that the leader remains the final matching authority.
Use the beta on real work.
